With pristine parks and reservoirs, Shelby prides itself on the beauty, accessibility and variety of activities within the park system. Each park caters to a different audience in order to fill the needs of everyone in the city. Facilities within the parks and reservoirs are available for rent and could be perfect for your family’s next reunion or your child’s graduation party. See below for rental rates.
Blackfork Commons: Amphitheater and restrooms pending.
Easterling Park: Small playground
McBride Park: Playground, Little League Baseball complex, pavilion, restrooms
Rabold Park: Playground, pavilion, restrooms, and dog park
Roush Park: Veteran memorial
Seltzer Park: Aquatic center with full-size pool and kiddie pool, playscape (8,400 square feet), tennis courts, pickleball courts, basketball court, horseshoe pits, pavilions, restrooms
Veteran’s Park: Skate park with rails and ramp, playground, pavilion, restrooms
Reservoir No. 2: Paved walking path (1 mile), fishing, sledding
Reservoir No. 3: Paved walking path (1.25 miles), nature trail (3 miles), pavilion, porta pot, boating (no gas-powered engines), fishing, sledding, cross-country skiing
Reserve park pavilions at Seltzer, Rabold or Veterans Park by contacting City Hall, 419-347-5131. Reservations are made May through September. The pavilions have electricity, water and grills. The amphitheater at Black Fork Commons can be reserved by contacting City Hall at419-347-5131.

Host a pool party Monday through Saturday from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm and from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Sundays. A deposit of $40 is required at the time of reservation, with the balance due prior to rental. Rentals are scheduled at the Pool Office.

Opening and closing dates for 2020 are pending. Evening rentals are available when the pool is closed during the day. Hours of operation are Noon to 7 pm. Monday through Saturday and Noon to 6 pm on Sundays, unless weather conditions are unfavorable. Dates for the Community Nights with free admission, fun and games are June 12, and August 7.. Community Nights are sponsored by the Shelby Foundation.

Individual (city resident): $45
Individual (outside city corporation limit): $60
Family of four or under (city resident): $110
Family of four or under (outside city corporation limit): $160
Additional family members: $15.00 each
Dates for early pass sales are pending, $5.00 discount. Passes will then be available at the regular prices during pool hours at the pool office.
Organizations using the pools daily should contact the Pool Manager (419-347-2312) for pricing.
Cost: $20 per student for 5 days with registration at the pool office any time prior to the start of lessons

Swim Lesson Application
If skills are above or below the scheduled times, we will move the swimmer to a more appropriate class after the first day!
Note: Parents will be asked to stay outside the pool gates during class time to prevent a child’s distraction away from the instructors.
